We started PicMe Photo Sharing a few years ago and have had a blast building the service. We have demoed for Walt Mossberg, TechCrunch, and top executives at Apple, Google, Microsoft and other technology companies. We built a product that I’m proud of, a product that integrated with services like Picasa, Facebook and Flickr. In a climate where everyone was building web apps we decided to set our own course and build a desktop client. It was a fun ride but we’ve decided to move on.
Over the last year and a half Raizlabs has focused more on the mobile space. We’ve started building iPhone applications and related mobile services. At this time we have decided to stop work on Pic.Me Photo Sharing. For existing customers we’re going to keep the service running for the foreseeable future. Anyone who paid for a premium account will continue to have a premium account.
All aspects and technology of PicMe and it’s IP are for sale. This includes our 3D stacks technology, client/cloud storage and sharing infrastructure. Interested parties can contact us at support@raizlabs.com.

Sorry to see you letting PicMe go — it’s some great software, and the social integration aspects are right on target. The consumer photo space is really tough, though — it’s a shame more people don’t see the value of software that sits between high-end pro stuff and freeware.
