Upgraded Servers Speed Things Up

We had a couple hours of unscheduled downtime yesterday while we upgraded our servers. Sorry about that. The new servers should be much faster for viewing photos, logging-in, sharing and other server interactions. Not to worry all your photos and memories are perfectly safe and secure and there’s nothing you need to do. You get a free performance boost so enjoy.

Set your PicMe icon

To set your PicMe photo sharing icon just find a photo that you like. Select the photo and right click on it. You should see a menu item called “Set as My icon.” Once you pick an icon any friends who have added you as a contact will be able to see this image of you the next time they log-in.

Hiding stacks of photos

Use the “Add Pictures” button to choose what stacks of photos you want to display. If you see a stack you don’t want shown in your main collection use the “Add Pictures” button and un-check the folders that you want hidden. You can add them back later if you change your mind.

Fullscreen photos

One of the things that makes PicMe different is that we focus on high quality photos. We wanted to show some of that quality by allowing you to easily view your photos in full screen. When you’re viewing your photo in the film-strip view just click the photo again and you can view your photos full-screen. You can use your mouse or your keyboard to navigate. Bonus: If you have multiple monitors you get a different photo on each monitor. We’re still ironing out this feature so let us know what you think.
